ARTIS members will discuss mental health and policy making in the upcoming workshop and panel discussion in Martin Gropius Bau.

Until the 15th of January next year, Berliners and visitors can experience 25 different artists’ and collectives’ perspectives on interspecies kinship, health, land distribution and decoloniality in Gropius Bau’s exhibition, YOYI! Care, Repair, Heal. A part of the exhibition is a workshop, followed by a panel discussion, under the common headline Berlin Conversations on Mental Health funded under the Mindscapes program of the Wellcome Trust. Together with other researchers, museum visitors, and neighborhood initiatives, ARTIS members Mazda Adli (Charité, IFNU), Joerg Fingerhut (HUB) and Sarah Hegenbart (UOXF) will discuss the question: How can neighborhoods enable good social togetherness in the city?

The outcome of the 2-hour workshop will be used in the following panel discussion, where political and cultural figures of Berlin will join the conversation with an aim of understanding what transformative policies Berlin neighborhoods need and which role art and cultural institutions ought to play in these.

Both events will take place on 15.10.2022, the workshop from 14:00-16:00 and the panel discussion from 18:00-19:30. Both are open to the public and for free.
